520			_aBu tezin amacı, toplumsal cinsiyet çalışmaları ile Uluslararası İlişkiler çalışmalarını Türkiye'nin ilk kadın dışişleri bakanı olanı Tansu Çiller üzerinden birleştirmeye çalışmaktır. Bu çalışmada dış politika kurumunda toplumsal cinsiyet ilişkilerinin varlığı incelenecektir. Bu incelemenin temel amacı da kadınlar karar verici olarak dış politika kurumuna dâhil olduğunda nasıl davrandıkları ve toplumsal cinsiyetin performatif edimler aracılığıyla kurumun yapısını nasıl etkiledikleri sorularını cevaplamaktır.Dış politika kurumunda tahakküm ilişkilerini toplumsal cinsiyet üzerinden anlamak için, analizin odak noktası Çiller'in söylemleri olacaktır. Burada amaç Çiller'in söylemlerinde eril-dişil kimlikleri nasıl konumlandığını ve bunun dış politika ile geleneksel eril zihniyet arasındaki ilişkiye etkisinin nasıl olduğunu açıklamaktır. The main aim of this thesis is to endeavor to associate the gender studies and International Relations studies through Tansu Çiller who is Turkey's first female foreign minister. In the study examines the existence of gender relations in the foreign policy institution. The main purpose of this examination is to answer how women decision-makers behave when they are involved in the foreign policy institution and how gender affects the structure of the institution by way of performative acts.In order to understand the domination relations in the foreign policy institution through gender, the focus of analysis will be Çiller's discourse. The purpose here is to explain how the masculine-feminine identities are located in Çiller's discourse and how this affects the relationship between foreign policy and traditional masculine mentality.
