- Information found: Lale Sokolov (Ludwig, "Lale" Sokolov, born Eisenberg, 1916-2006, was an Austro-Hungarian-born Slovak-Australian businessman and Holocaust survivor, he was sent to Auschwitz in 1942 and served as the concentration camp's tattooist until the camp was liberated near the end of World War II. Born in Korompa, Hungary, now Krompachy, Slovakia on 28 October 1916; after the war he went to Bratislava and changed his surname from Eisenberg to Sokolov; immigrated to Australia in 1948 and settled in Melbourne where he opened a clothing factory, died in 2006)
