Daha önce Ermeni Meselesiyle ilgili olan ve 1856-1895 dönemini kapsayan İngiliz Belgeleri 4 cilt halinde Bilal Şimşir tarafından yayınlanmıştı. Doç. Dr. Tolga Başak’ın bu çalışması ise birçok bakımdan Bilal Şimşir’in yayınladığı belgelerin devamı ve tamamlayıcısı olarak görülebilir. Tolga Başak’ın gün ışığına çıkardığı belgeler İngiltere’nin ve dönemin diğer büyük devletlerinin Ermeni Meselesinin ortaya çıkmasında ve içinden çıkılamayacak bir hal almasında oynadıkları rolü göstermektedir. Bunun yanı sıra savaş boyunca bu meselenin İngiltere tarafından nasıl bir propaganda aracı olarak kullanıldığını Arnold J. Toynbee gibi İngiliz Propaganda Bürosu çalışanlarının yazışmalarına yer vererek okuyuculara sunmaktadır. |
